Text Box:  SUMMER READING PROGRAM       John Stahl Library is planning another exciting summer reading program for children this year.  The theme is “CHEWS” A GOOD BOOK : READ!  The children will be reading books of their choice to help fill our giant bubble gum machines.  Our older readers (4th grade and up) will have an added opportunity to solve mysteries and puzzles to earn points needed to be invited to the BIG PARTY!!!     Starting the week of  June 1ST, children are invited to come to the library and register for the program and receive details on the summer reading requirements.  The first 200 children will receive a goodie bag filled with surprises.  This year’s summer reading program will run from June 1st until July 11th.      All qualified readers will be invited to a program given by the Omaha Children’s Museum.  Their program this year is called “The Amazing Bubble Show”.  The presentation will be held July 16th at 1:00 pm at the Nielson Community Center.  At this time all the qualified readers will be acknowledged for their hard work and receive a certificate and their rewards.                                                                      Text Box:     John A. Stahl Library   Summer Activities 2009                                            Text Box: READING GROUP THE YOUTH BOOK GROUP which will be meeting Monday, June 15th, at 12:00.  The book chosen to be discussed will be The Green Glass Sea by Ellen Klages.  Any child who has read this book is invited to join us for pizza as we discuss the book.  Call 372-3831 or stop in at the library desk to register and pick up a copy of the book.

Text Box: PRESCHOOL AGE STORY HOUR   The preschool age story hour will be held every Tuesday morning from 10:00 am until 10:30 am during the months of June and July.  Our first story hour of our new year will be September 1st.   June 2-Dairy Day June 9- Hats!!! July 21-The Little Old Lady Stories July 28-Pirate Day GRADE SCHOOL STORY TIME   Summer grade school story hour will begin Wednesday, June 10th at 2:00pm, at the John A.
